Why start pole dancing?
Pole dancing offers so many benefits, whether they be physical, mental, or emotional. Here are some of the many benefits of starting to pole dance:
- Improve your strength, flexibility and fitness.
- Boost your self-confidence and body image. Pole is known to have a positive impact on your feelings of self-worth and happiness.
- Have fun with a leisure pursuit that is social, engaging and always offering you a new and interesting challenge. Gyms can get boring and are often a solo activity – pole combines all the best stuff for a hobby you are sure to get addicted to.
- Learn an awesome new skill. Discover how to twirl, spin, climb and even go upside down! You really don’t know what your body is capable of until you try.
- Pole is a great way to get in touch with your femininity if that is what you want to do. The Feelin’ Peachy studio offers pole dance classes in the Wirral that give you a space where you can be unapologetic in expressing yourself however you want to.
As an art form, pole dancing is incredibly diverse and versatile. So, whether you are looking to do something fitness / sports based, or if you are more interested in dance (whether that is sexy, sensual, lyrical, balletic, or urban) you can pole in a way that is totally right for you.
Curious to see what it’s like? We run monthly taster classes to give you the chance to come and give it a go before booking. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages to see when we are running our taster sessions, message us, or check out the full schedule on our Book Now page.
What do the levelled (Beginner, Improver etc) pole dancing classes involve?
These classes are where we will be working on all the foundation moves that make up the core of your pole dancing practice. These start with your core moves, and then get gradually more intense, complex and challenging (in a good way!) as you progress up the levels.
We like to build you from the ground up, LITERALLY! You are not expected to be able to hold up your own body weight on the pole when you first start. All moves to begin with allow you to maintain foot to floor contact. As you grow in strength and confidence we begin teaching you more ambitious skills where you can begin flying around the pole.
Every class starts with a 10-minute warm up, before learning and practising a variety of moves, spins and poses, followed by a 10-minute cool down at the end. Our levels include:
Beginner Pole Dancing Classes
If you’re new to pole visit our dedicated Beginner Pole page to find out more. You will learn:
- Beginner spins
- Some transitions and connecting moves
- Preparation for climbing the pole!
- Your first seats
- Conditioning moves to improve your strength, flexibility and body awareness
More importantly, you will learn to:
-
Believe in yourself
-
Realise what you are truly capable of
-
Laugh and relax more
-
Appreciate your body for what it can do
Most students do this level just the once, but you are welcome to repeat it if you wish.
Improver Pole Dancing Classes
Stepping things up, you will learn:
-
Practice your spins, and begin learning more difficult spins and spin combos
-
Learn new combos incorporating poses, spins and transitions
-
Keep working to make your climb better and better
-
Discover a variety of different seats and poses to challenge yourself
-
Learn conditioning moves to prepare you for Intermediate level
And of course, you will:
- Become more confident and self-assured
- Be able to trust yourself more deeply
- Believe that you can achieve things you never thoughts possible
- Challenge your limiting beliefs to push yourself
You can stay in this level for as long as you feel comfortable. This level allows you to prepare for the challenges that you will be tackling in Intermediate class, and many stay in Improver for months until they feel, or their instructor feels, they are ready to progress.
Intermediate Pole Dancing Classes
Building your skills and strength, you will:
-
Start working on more advanced spins and spin combos
-
Polish up your improver level poses, spins, transitions and combos – it is important to get the ‘basics’ really solid and strong before progressing further
-
Perfecting different types of climbs including side climbs
-
Start inverting (aka ‘going upside down’)
-
Start working on your first gravity defying tricks and moves – yay!
And of course, you will:
- Find out just how much your body can achieve
- Discover new ways to challenge yourself
- Be astounded by your progress
- Become happier with your body and your self-image
- Feel strong and determined in your goals
Intermediate is a great level which many students find keeps them occupied for many months, or even years. With so many intermediate tricks, spins and moves to work on, you will never get bored in this level. This level challenges you in so many ways, and gets you ready for the advanced classes where you will begin to work on more of your inverted (upside down) moves and combos. Students progress to Advanced when their instructor feels they are ready.
Intermediate-Advanced Pole Dancing Classes
Taking your pole journey to the highest levels, you will:
-
Continue working on advanced spins and spin combos
-
Polish up your intermediate level poses, spins, transitions and combos – it is important to get the ‘basics’ really solid and strong even whilst you progress
-
Conditioning to get your invert deadlift strong
-
Working on knee hangs, arms only tricks, shoulder mounts, and other advanced moves
-
A mix of classic and trending tricks
-
Multi-trick combos
Plus, as a pole high flyer, you will:
- Feel accomplished with each new move you get
- Surprise yourself with how much you have gained
Almost all students will stay in advanced indefinitely, as there is always a new and exciting challenge to work on!

Pole Dancing Classes In Heels
Interested in the spicier side of pole dancing? 🔥 🌶️ 🔥 🌶️ 🔥
We offer a variety of opportunities for students to enjoy the sexier side of pole dance.
You can join through weekly group classes and/or specialist workshops.
Weekly sexy pole classes are your opportunity to learn how to dance in heels, perfect your technique, and learn a fun routine every month.
The classes are drop in or available on our flexible booking system. We run a specific schedule, however, which is as follows:
Week 1 and 2: We learn technique, combos, and transitions in the sexy pole style.
Week 3 and 4: We put together what we’ve learned in the first two weeks into a mini routine.
Workshops are special events that are scheduled less frequently. These typically give our students the opportunity to learn specialist skills in their heels, or to provide a gorgeous, immersive experience.
Some workshops we run include:
- Petals Floor Work – the studio is filled with 100s of petals for the students to slink and slide around in as they learn a sensual floor dance routine.
- Intermediate Heels Routines – a chance for higher level students to incorporate more challenging moves and transitions into a heels routine.
- Slink Sensual Flow (The Divine Feminine) – discover how to connect with your inner Goddess as you explore slow, erotic flow suitable for all levels.
We recommend students complete a Beginner Pole course before starting Sexy Pole.
